First Kuwaiti Girls' Participation in the World Cup of Tennis Juniors in 2025

'A DREAM COME TRUE': HISTORY MADE AS KUWAIT SELECTS FIRST GIRLS' TEAM

Under this heading, Ross McLean from the official website of the International Tennis Federation (www.itftennis.com) interviewed Mr. Abdul Redha Al-Ghareeb, President of the Kuwait Tennis Federation, during the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors in Malaysia from March 2 to 10, 2025. Mr. Al-Ghareeb said:

1. Kuwait Tennis Federation is so proud to present a national team of girls to participate in the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors for the first time in Kuwait tennis history.  It is a dream that came true.

2. Kuwait Tennis Federation aims to prepare a team of girls to participate in the ITF World Tennis Junior events and the Billie Jean King.

3. Our main driving force to field a girls' team in the Billie Jean King Cup Juniors this year is that we have a distinguished team of girls who have been intensively trained during the past few years by some best coaches of international levels at Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait.

4. This step copes well with the policy of the Kuwait Tennis Federation to get more girls and women to play tennis, like the rest of the world.

5. Our ambition in the Kuwait Tennis Federation is to have female players (girls and women) competing in different ITF World Tennis Junior and Women events and to enlarge the base of girls and women participation, together with boys and men's involvement.
